World Steel Association: Global Crude Steel Production in April 2021

In April 2021, the crude steel output of 64 countries included in the statistics of the World Iron and Steel Association was 169.5 million tons, increasing by 23.3% year on year.

In April 2021, China’s crude steel output was 97.9 million tons, up 13.4 percent year on year;

India’s crude steel production was 8.3 million tons, up 152.1% year on year;

Japan’s crude steel output was 7.8 million tons, up 18.9% year on year;

U.S. crude steel production was 6.9 million tons, up 43.0% year on year;

Russia’s crude steel production is estimated at 6.5 million tons, up 15.1% year on year;

South Korea crude steel production is estimated at 5.9 million tons, up 15.4% year on year;

German crude steel production is estimated at 3.4 million tons, up 31.5% year on year;

Turkey’s crude steel production was 3.3 million tons, up 46.6% year on year;

Brazil’s crude steel production was 3.1 million tons, up 31.5% year on year;

Iran’s crude steel production is estimated at 2.5 million tons, up 6.4 percent year on year
