Southeast Asia long timber price drop China wire export advantages outstanding

Recently, the import and export prices of long timber in Southeast Asia fell.

Due to the lack of demand, some steel mills in Vietnam and Malaysia have lowered the price to ease the sales pressure. It is reported that, in accordance with the price, Malaysia offers Singapore rebar about 580-585 US dollars/ton CFR, Vietnam offers about 570 US dollars/ton FOB, and China offers about 585 US dollars/ton CFR. Most buyers in major import markets such as Singapore and Hong Kong are in a wait-and-see mood, waiting for prices to fall further.

For wire, Indonesian and Malaysian wire exports to Southeast Asia are quoted at the level of $580-590 CFR/ton. Recently, China has a prominent advantage in wire rod export, and the quotation fell to around $560-575 / ton CFR.
