In the first half of 2021, global stainless steel crude steel production increased by about 24.9% year-on-year

Statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) on October 7 show that in the first half of 2021, global stainless steel crude steel production increased by approximately 24.9% year-on-year to 29.026 million tons. In terms of several regions, the output of all regions has increased year-on-year: Europe increased by about 20.3% to 3.827 million tons, the United States increased by about 18.7% to 1.277 million tons, and mainland China increased by about 20.8% to 16.243 million tons, excluding mainland China, Asia including South Korea and Indonesia (mainly India, Japan and Taiwan) grew by about 25.6% to 3.725 million tons, and other regions (mainly Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Brazil, and Russia) grew by about 53.7% to 3.953 million tons.

In the second quarter of 2021, global stainless steel crude steel production was roughly the same as the previous quarter. Among them, with the exception of mainland China and Asia excluding China, South Korea, and Indonesia, the month-on-month ratio has decreased, and the other major regions have increased month-on-month.
