Hot-Dip Galvanized Metal Plank becomes a new standard for construction safety with anti slip technology, reducing accident rates by over 60%

Recently, at a municipal engineering project construction site in Chengdu, construction workers were stepping on a new type of galvanized ladder board for scaffolding operations. This building material, which adopts a dual anti slip design of diamond grid and convex holes, has gradually replaced traditional wooden springboards and become a new choice in the construction industry due to its significant improvement in safety performance.

Industry technical parameters show that the new galvanized ladder board forms a dense protective layer through hot-dip galvanizing process, with a zinc layer thickness of over 80 μ m. It can achieve a corrosion resistance life of more than 10 years in humid climates, which is more than three times longer than traditional steel. Its surface adopts a 12mm × 18mm convex hole design, matched with a 30mm × 40mm hole spacing arrangement, achieving an anti slip coefficient of 0.85. The accident rate of slipping during rainy operations is 62% lower than that of wooden springboards, and it can maintain stable grip even in oil and water environments.

In a large tunnel project, this type of ladder board has passed practical testing. There is a lot of water and dust in the tunnel. Previously, the wooden springboard needed to be replaced in three days, but now the galvanized plank has not deformed after eight months of use. “The project safety officer revealed that after using a ladder board with double row inverted triangular reinforcement ribs, the single weight can reach 800 kilograms, fully meeting the requirements of heavy equipment handling. In addition, the elliptical sand leakage hole design at the bottom can quickly discharge accumulated dust and water, reducing maintenance frequency.
